SAILING EDUCATION ADVENTURES

Sailing Education Adventures (SEA) is a nonprofit community partner with Loch Lomond Yacht Club and has been delivering quality sailing education for over 40 years. SEA offers a range of sailing programs for all ages led by US Sailing certified instructors.

●    Youth - Sailing camps and sessions in the spring, summer, and fall for children 8-17. SEA Sail Camps are one of the best ways for children to learn to sail in The Bay Area. SEA offers intensive instruction on 14’ sailboats, as well as lessons on boat safety and seamanship. And most importantly, Sail Camp fosters teamwork and self-reliance.
●    Adult - Beginning classes or private lessons for adults and families. SEA offers a great introduction to sailing small boats. Students will learn to tack, jibe, sail on all points of sail, dock the boat, and learn how to get into and out of the "safety position" and into and out of "irons". Safety and self-confidence are emphasized. Adult Beginning Sailing will be taught on the water using SEA’s 16.5’ Catalina keelboats. If scheduled classes don’t work, SEA can also setup private lessons for beginners or as a refresher for those looking to get back into sailing.
●    Membership - monthly open sails and regular member events. An SEA is the most accessible way to get out on the water. A low-cost annual membership includes unlimited use of their small boat fleet (once checked out) during open sails, use of kayaks (once checked out), and free participation in a variety of fun member group events throughout the year.

Check the SEA website for more information on all programs, activities, and dates.
